We are there.
For when you can’t always be there.
And we take this role personally and seriously. Because to us, providing care, support and a helping hand to your loved ones is much more than a job. It’s a true honour and privilege. To have the pleasure of hearing, sharing and reliving moments, memories and stories.
We understand
The Home Instead brand began from personal experience where founders Martin and Sarah Warner, through caring for their own ageing parents found a lack of suitable home care and companionship services that were quality, non-medical and supported seniors who wanted to live independently at home.
We understand most New Zealander’s today want flexibility, choice and the ability to live independently in the comfort of their own homes. Our aim is to help them remain in the home they love, while providing them with all the care and support they need.
We place relationships first
At Home Instead, we take a relationship-first approach as opposed to a task-based approach to home care and support. Which is why… we see what we do as much more than a “task” or a “job”. To us, it’s an honour to work with and share in the lives of seniors and their families. We tailor personalised care to suit the individual needs, lifestyle and preferences of each person we care, support and provide a helping hand on.
We are here for you and your loved one, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
We’re available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. To support, guide, navigate and help you in anyway we can throughout your journey in aged care. Whether you are searching for in-home help as soon as possible, or in the next few months or years, we start when you want us to, and not the other way around
We invest in professionally training our CAREGivers
To ensure your loved ones receive the best in-home care, each of our CAREGivers go through our very own nationally accredited, in-house CAREGiver training program (ACE – Advanced CAREGiver Education) and are invited to complete further training in specialist care such as disability, palliative, and dementia.

When it comes to finding home care for your loved one(s), we understand first-hand the juggle that comes between navigating the uncertain waters of the process, as well as the desire to find a CAREGiver who will not only be able to provide professional care and support services to your loved one, but will be someone who your loved one can enjoy connecting with too on a human to human level.
Which is why if you’d like someone from the industry to help navigate the uncertain waters with you, or discuss what the best personalised solution will be, whether that be with us or another provider – we would love to help.
